Note: This post has been updated with new links to the election data dashboard.
Hi there, it’s been a while since I’ve posted. Finishing a dissertation and graduating from graduate school will do that, I guess. In any event, now that the post-defense/graduation dust has settled, I’ve been working on a couple of things.
The first thing is actually the first in a series of posts. I’ve created a data dashboard for the 2018 Russian Presidential Election.1Update: The dashboard was originally hosted on an external website, but I managed to figure out a way to upload it to this website. It includes clickable maps, comparisons between candidates’ performance in the 2018 and 2012 elections and tables for votes by region. The data are available in a couple of places (like the official Central Election Commission site), but I wanted to provide a snazzier (and hopefully more user-friendly) version.
My plan is to create similar dashboards for all parliamentary elections in Russia since 1993, so this is a sort-of ‘test’ version. Please let me know what you think either in the comments here or send me a message at biznesslanch [at] gmail.com.
You can find the data here or by clicking on the screen shot above.
